Tonight the Chair of Fosse Way Friends, Claire Speed, presented the second annual report at our AGM.
Fosse Way Friends has now been established for just over two years, during which time it has planned, organised and held many successful events, including:
- School Discos
- The Summer Fair
- Fashion Shows
- Coffee Mornings
- Quiz Night
All of the events have been thoroughly enjoyed by those who have taken part, and the money raised has been put back in to the school, directly for the children's benefit. This has included purchasing of new playground equipment for the children to enjoy at lunchtimes, and the addition of two 'buddy benches', one for the Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 playgrounds respectively. The buddy benches are places where the children can choose to sit, if they feel lonely and are looking for a friend to play with at playtime. It has been wonderful to see new friendships being made through the use of these new benches.
Fosse Way Friends are now planning many exciting events for the Spring and Summer Terms.
